With International Vajra Dance Instructor Prima Mai & Menpa Phuntsog Wangmo

This week we welcome an International Instructor of Vajra Dance, Prima Mai. “Vajra” is a Sanskrit term meaning “diamond”. In the Dzogchen teaching the Vajra is a symbol of our essential nature, which is pure, clear and immutable like a diamond.

Practicing the Dance of the Vajra, one can discover this real nature by being in the state of contemplation. One can learn to maintain and stabilize this knowledge not only in sitting meditation but also by being in movement. In this way it can become part of our daily life.

About Prima Mai

Prima Mai is one of the two main international Vajra Dance Teachers appointed by Chogyal Namkhai Norbu, with authorization to train new Instructors of the Vajra Dance. Since 1992, she has been holding courses worldwide and preparing related materials for publications, generally developing the Vajra Dance. Prima Mai met Choygal Namhai Norbu in 1989, and learned the Vajra Dance directly from him. She accompanied Rinpoche for several years in his travels, assisting him during trainings and retreats.
