In this webinar, our special guest is an authorized instructor of the Santi Maha Sangha, Oliver Leick. We will discuss the well-known Buddhist icon of Green Tara, associated with wisdom, empowerment, good fortune, and boundless love of divine femininity. In these times of doubt and severe challenges, meditation on this auspicious Buddha helps many people overcome fear and obstacles, discovering their inner capacity for clarity and wisdom. Our host, Menpa Phuntsog Wangmo, shares her experience with Green Tara, and the role of this Buddha in traditional Tibetan culture.

Oliver Leick

Oliver Leick is an authorized instructor of the Santi Maha Sangha, the comprehensive Buddhist Dharma training program developed by Chogyal Namkhai Norbu. Oliver has led more than 150 retreats and has given numerous talks on Tibetan culture in diverse venues worldwide.
Oliver serves on the Board of Directors of the Atiyoga Foundation, the spiritual and cultural organization founded by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu. He has servd as the Director of the Shang Shung Institute for Tibetan Studies in Austria for the last 20 years. Oliver retired from his career as a schoolteacher in 2016, and lives with his family in Austria.

Menpa Phuntsog Wangmo

Menpa Phuntsog Wangmo is a practitioner of Traditional Tibetan Medicine, with over 30 years of experience in clinical practice as well as teaching. She received her advanced degree from the Lhasa University School of Traditional Medicine

Menpa Wangmo is the Director of the Shang Shung Institute School of Tibetan Medicine. She teaches Tibetan Medicine around the world, developing programs and teaching students in the USA, Spain, Italy, Russia, and many places.

Menpa Phuntsog Wangmo is the Co-Founder of the American Tibetan Medical Association, ATMA, Tibetan Medicine professional organization.
